A potpourri of photography and words about Nature, social issues, and anything else that crosses my path during the day.
I used to have a marching band student whose feet looked just like yours after a summer in the sun! Fabulous lines, I especially like the small squares near his and your pinky toes!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you have had a very pleasant summer indeed.
ReplyDeleteTeva Tan Lines? Sounds like a great name for a band. Do you have to wear closed toe shoes now?
ReplyDeleteChris - Yeah, wherever the sun can get through... The little squares are crazy, aren't they.
ReplyDeleteAlan - Actually, my feet end up looking this way every summer. I tan fast and dark, and my feet start looking something like that after only about a week total time in the sun, and I wear these sandals whenever I'm not somewhere or doing something that requires real shoes.
Ronda - Not all the time. I wore the sandals for a spin around town on the way to get groceries today. But tomorrow I'll probably have to wear real shoes; it's supposed to be raining with the high temps in the mid 60s (around 18º C for those outside the US).
...Roy, we're on the same wavelength. I'm starting to feel the fade of summer too (but I'm still holding on, just not as tight as last week...). I like your new photo.
ReplyDeleteRoy, heh, heh, tan lines or no at least you got to enjoy some of the summer, yes? (when it wasn't raining, of course ). And was just going through some of my old sunset snaps but nothing like these, you found. Nice!
ReplyDeleteRoy, it looks like you didn't take those sandles off the entire summer!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, except for the longer second toes, those could be my feet!ha ha
ReplyDeleteKelly - I live for Fall & Winter, so I'm not so sad to see Summer go. And yeah, that's my favorite self-portrait.
ReplyDeleteSubby - Yeah, it was a great Summer for dodging raindrops. The tomato crop is really sub-par this year. As for the video, I had hoped to get one of the Beach Boys singing this in concert, but no luck.
Willow - Actually, I was in my hiking boots way more than in my sandals this Summer. But I tan fast and easy, so really it only takes me maybe 4 or 5 days to get to that stage of tan. I don't think I've worn the sandals more than two weeks total the whole Summer.
Kim - Heh, heh! Yeah, I seem to recall a conversation we had not too long ago about the merits of different brands of hiking sandals.
I so seldom wear shoes at home, I got no lines.
ReplyDeleteNeat feet! Wow, you do get dark. My Reefs Tan Lines are nowhere near that good!
ReplyDeleteHee, might have to post them, though...
Marmsk - I don't wear shoes at home, either. This is from walking around town, and sometimes at the beach or on the Cliff Walk, in my Teva sandals.
ReplyDeleteMegan - Uh-oh! Have I started a trend?
Haha . . excellent. The beauty of 'mature' skin is that it holds the tan lines until next summer! Roy you really need a pedicure!
ReplyDeletelove the song. the feet, I take it, are yours?
ReplyDeleteparting is such sweet sorrow...trading the suns warm kiss for the cool refreshment of autumn
