These are some shots taken in available light of lights in darkness. The Newport Harbor shots were taken in October for a motion blur challenge on the Intense Photo Challenge group on Gather.com. The four candles in the water was taken in September for a "lights in the dark" challenge for the same group, but not as a contestant; the two people who run the group were both busy with real life and asked me to run the challenge for them, so this was done as an illustration of what we were looking for. The other two candle shots were taken in November in preparation for use for the Winter Solstice holidays. In fact they were used in my annual Yule online holiday greeting, a slideshow with music, which you can go watch here.
