A potpourri of photography and words about Nature, social issues, and anything else that crosses my path during the day.
Cool stuff!
ReplyDeleteI was more distracted by the beautiful fabrics you've chosen to display your oracles on. What are the little bamboo sticks for? They're not pointy enough for shasliks!
ReplyDeleteI like those Soulcards! And yeah, what are the bamboo sticks for? And glad to see more of your Tarot cards, Roy :)
ReplyDeleteI've been to Greece and visited the ancient "Oracle at Delphi". I'll bet she had cool stuff like this!
ReplyDeletehmmmm, i'm reading much in this post.
ReplyDeletehugs, friend
I love that tarot set you made, Roy. The soul cards are tres cool, too!
ReplyDeleteBaino & Subby - The sticks are what you use to determine the hexagram. I know, lots of people use the three pennies, but I consider that laziness. I use the old yarrow stalks method. Since yarrow stalks are a tad rare around here, I use those 50 of those little kabob skewers instead. I cut off the skewer points, of course.
ReplyDeleteMatt - Nah, the Oracle at Delphi stood over the fissure in the rock in the temple and got stoned on whatever vapors were rising up out of it. I need to go back and read the original Greek and see if I can see the equivalent of "Like wow, dude! Totally far out!" in the ancient records. Heh, heh!
But what does it all mean?
ReplyDeleteThat tarot deck is really interesting. I like the illustrations.
ReplyDeleteAuthentic yarrow stalks! Guess you wouldn't settle for anything less, Roy - like consulting the I Ching online and leaving it to the program to come up with random hexagrams :-)
