Water is a great mirror!
Candles and water.
Two videos this week. The first is my favorite mirror song - The English Beat playing their 1979 hit "Mirror in the Bathroom".
The second video is "Mirror" by the Supreme Beings of Leisure, who have carried the '80s pop/rock aesthetic into the 21st Century. These folks are well worth listening to. Enjoy!

Great night shot! But I think I'm partial to the Gooseneck Cove one...it's really tough to pick favourites, y'know...happy TT Roy :)
ReplyDeleteAnd hope you weathered the storm well. We barely got a couple inches...
wow, that shots of the harbor at night and gooseneck cove take my breath away....
ReplyDeleteand mirror in the bathroom, absolutely great song - em reminded me of it!! she was very much into ska during her h.s. days....
All your shots are great, but the candle pic is special.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections, getting warmer by the picture! :-)
ReplyDeleteI too love the candle shot, and thanks for the music as well. Happy TT!
ReplyDeleteWow...
ReplyDeleteYou need to see Crescent Lake out here on the Olympic Peninsula... crystal clear, smooth as glass. Reminds me of this...
Lovely pictures!
Great post! LOVED the photos!
ReplyDeleteWater is the original mirror! Good call...
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love harbor shots - nice stuff!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I visited Newport for the first time in September, right after we'd gone to the US Open. We wanted to see the original site of the National/Open and we stayed at the Marriott on that harbor. It is nice to see your lovely photographs which remind me of our stay.
ReplyDeleteLovely images here,thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've seen you post a night shot before Roy. Great shot of the harbour, the water is so calm!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos as always, Roy!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for pictures with mirror effect, and you delivered as always. Lovely night shot, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI can't see any goats on that island!
ReplyDeletegreat shots(Newport's on my list) and loved the music--mirror in the bathroom --the dance steps reminded me of Devo and loved the sax! Supreme Beings opening shots of Mirror are so telling all those little bottles promising the fountain of youth--"you know you got to try it, you have to buy it..."
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Happy TT-c
Water IS most certainly a great mirror. I'd even say it's the best mirror.
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures but I was hoping you were
ReplyDeletegoing to show some pictures showing some
effects of mirrors?
Thank you for sharing them.
