Good Friday

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it!
How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her
wings, and you would not! See, your house is left to you desolate. "
– Matthew 23:37 - 38

Music: Samuel Barber, Adagio for Strings

  1. I take it that it's still on the wintry side in Little Rhodie! At least you got a great picture out of it, not to mention the perfect choice as soundtrack.

  2. Thanks for dropping by, K! No, we were almost to 60º today, all the various Narcissi are up, even the Daffodils, and the Forsythia is about to burst forth. The photo was from a shoot I did in January. I just thought it set the right metaphorical "mood" for Good Friday.

  3. This Barber piece is hauntingly beautiful. Lovely snowy tombstone pic, too.
