A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral. – Antoine de Saint-Exupery

great quote.... looking forward to coming back to experience the roach vid... but i gotta rock on out of here now!!
ReplyDeletehere I was expecting some heavy metal music from you today!!
beautiful photo....
I agree great quote, and the video was great. Do we get a part 2. And yes I was expecting something totaly different with the video music. I think if I watch it again, I will see totally different things when I stare at the scenes. Oh so cool. Totally worth watching. Please, please, post part 2.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
God bless.
Amazing picture. Saint-Exupery and mineral seems to go well together !
ReplyDeletegreat quote. and i really like that picture
ReplyDeleteYour picture and quote brought one thousand others in my mind lol thank you...
ReplyDeletepeace and love
xoxo
great quote...our perspective on life and the things we do drive our satisfaction with reality it seems. what seems tedium to one, can drive the imagination of another.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Didn't the Little Prince have his own planet?
ReplyDeleteGreat quote, never read that one before.
ReplyDeleteNice image. I had to read the quote again though. Building on a pile of rocks vs using your own imagination to appreciate the pile of rocks are two different things. I'll take the imagination and leave the rocks alone...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful video. Thanks, Roy.
ReplyDeleteNice lighthouse image and quote, Roy!
ReplyDeleteWatching the video was so peaceful and relaxing. It reminded me of the time I visited the Kartchner Caverns in Arizona when it first opened to the public. It was the first time I had ever been in a cavern. I was able to see stalactites and stalagmites while a peaceful music was being played.
ReplyDeleteWell dang! It seems I'm the only one who noticed, Parts 2 & 3 are in the scroll-bys, or whatever you call 'em, below Part1 when it's finished. 'Bout 20 minutes worth altogether. Very nice. I love good, slow, spacey, beatless meditation music, which Roach rarely(in my limited experience of him) seems to produce, but this was very close. Excellent for the video.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's great how you segued from that beautiful rock shore+rock building photo*, through the quote which intimated dreams of Earth-matter, to the vid of "Earth Dreaming."
Excellent!
PS:*Speaking of which, may I pick your brain? :-) How do you get pictures to publish so big and wide like that, on Blogger? I'm sure you must tweak the html, but ... is it hard? I've always wanted my pics to be that big.
Thanks everybody.
ReplyDeleteA. Decker - email me: royster10 at verizon dot net. I'll send you the same info that Kim the Mouse sent me when I asked her the same question.
Love the quote... and soon as I've some "brain" time, I'll be asking how to on the photos, too.
ReplyDeleteI think I want to thank A.Decker for the 2 and 3 parts, maybe say duh on my part. Sometimes I do not look at those things that pop up at the end.
ReplyDeleteRoy,
Would it be okay if I emailed you too, for the same info, I would love to make my pictures larger but I cannot figure it out and can I also ask if you can send how to add the video directly like this one was. I cannot figure that one out either. Oh how nice it would be to be able to do that.
Thank you so much, this would be so nice.
God bless.
Your quote and picture reminds me of the buildings made of stone here. In our case it is river rock that has been worn smooth by the Linville River or the Catawba River..most of the buildings were built by highly skilled workers thanks to Roosevelt's TVA program.
ReplyDeleteMrsupole - sure, email ahead. As for the video thing... Instructions for embedding YouTube videos can be found here. There's also a link on that page for instructions for uploading your own videos.
ReplyDeleteI just like lighthouses. There's something about them...
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the video, I enjoyed it tremendously!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm all peaceful. Nice.
...beautiful photo...wonderful quote!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great image.
ReplyDeleteThis post was so perfect for me today--thank you thank you!
ReplyDeleteJust love the photo...very nice in black and white...and love the music video too...Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you Roy,
ReplyDeleteFor reminding me how in junior highs school, I read Le Petit Prince, under great duress, en francais.
Maybe one day I will read it in English...
Thank you for the gorgeous photo.
