Yesterday slowly but surely clouded over, and we got some fairly heavy rain in the overnight. Today has been solid overcast with some drizzle and mist. And of course my thoughts went right to Easton's Beach, which can really have a lot of character on a gloomy day. So I stopped by on my way to do some errands.

Those are very nice photos for a gloomy day. That's one of the benefits of black & white, don't you think? my husband LOVES b/w but it doesn't sell well for him.
ReplyDeleteI love being by the shore on those sorts of days, & your pix really bring out the character of a delightfully gloomy shore day!
ReplyDeleteWow...look at the contrast between Sunday and today! We had rain here in Ohio all day today...it never stopped! Gray is one of my favorite colors, actually...your's is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOkay, my first thought said I was looking at black and white photos. But they're not, not 100%. There's a tiny bit of muted color here and there. What did you do exactly, you ol' scamp?
ReplyDeleteYou manage to get a selection of wonderful shots even on a grey and rainy day. Masterful, as always Roy.
ReplyDeleteThanks folks!
ReplyDeleteCG - Nope, not b&w. I shot in full color and didn't convert to b&w in Photoshop. You can still see green in the waves and browns in the stones. It's just how gray the day was.
Foxy - I just shot in color; the day was so gray that you have to look for the color. I didn't do anything, really, except bring the light back up in Photoshop (I deliberately underexpose when I shoot so I won't lose detail from white-outs, etc.) until the green in the ocean and the browns in the stones show back up as I saw them with the naked eye.
