At the Feeder Station

Birds are finally visiting my feeder station on a regular basis. Today in about a half-hour window I found a male House Sparrow, two Dark-eyed Juncos, and a male Northern Cardinal. Here they are.

  2. wonderful photos,,,,,,,I wish I got Cardinals. Have to make do with sparrows, mourning doves and mockingbirds plus a fabulous flock of hummers.

  3. And they all look so content. I've lots of Cardinals, Woodpeckers, Phoebes, Tufted Titmice, Mockingbirds, Jays - of course and many varieties of sparrow. Oh yes, and Chickadees! But unless I get a new camera, I'll have to rely on you for beautiful and striking close-ups.

  4. Lovely bird photos--definitely envious of your feeder, tho I am starting to see more songbirds in walks around the city. I've been fascinated ever since I lived in Idaho at how different the eastern & western varieties of the dark-eyed junco look. At one time they were classed as separate species.
