Quiet City

I recently heard Aaron Copland's Quiet City - for Cor Anglais, Trumpet and Strings again, and got inspired to put together a slideshow based on it. The Newport, Providence, and some of the Boston photos are mine; the rest I collected on Wiki Commons. Enjoy!

    ...love the photo. Makes me think of a scene out of Harry Potter. I can see Dumbledore using his light Put-Outer to snuff all the lights out! :-)

    lovely photography, thank you very much for this....I am quite sure the soundtrack is NY Philharmonic with English Horn Thomas Stacey and Trumpet Philip Smith conducted by Leonard Bernstein from a DG CD that includes Copland Third Symphony.
