I decided to play in Photoshop and antique some of the photos I posted yesterday, making it look as if Mathew Brady took the same walk I did, only around 147 years ago; after all, he was just over the mountain in Gettysburg that long ago.
The musical soundtrack today is "Bohemia Rag", composed by Joseph Lamb in 1919, and performed by the late John Arpin; I thought a piano rag was fitting for this sort of photography. Start the music playing before you scroll down to view the photos.

The antique filter makes the winter scene look even bleaker. You did a good job of representing the coldness and emptiness of the winter season. You're right the ragtime adds a sense of "olden times" to the photos. As always excellent pics.
ReplyDeleteThat ragtime takes me back to my piano lesson days! I had a whole book of it. How fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the antiquing...that is the perfect finish for those shots!
I really like what you did, the antique look really enhanced the feeling that the scenery invokes!
ReplyDeleteSuch a different landscape to your previous home. Oh I had a dream about you last night, go figure! We were attending the wedding of a mutual friend and the 'host' put on some rather alternative music, you grabbed a book and did a runner so you could seek out some peace and quiet. Hilarious. Happy New Year Roy, I hope it is much better than the last.
ReplyDeletevery cool effects.
ReplyDeletehappy january roy!!!
