On the way to the grocery store today I noticed the flower bed along the wrought iron fence around St. Joseph's Cemetery was in full bloom (if you remember, I talked about this cemetery on St. Patrick's Day 2009; the post is here). This time of year what dominates that fence are Oxeye Daisies, Black-eyed Susans, and Day Lilies. Naturally I stopped to take some pictures.

ReplyDeleteI know it's not funny but the term 'pushing up daisies' certainly comes to mind. Lilys of any persuasion are without doubt my favourite flowers . . and dog!
ReplyDeleteBaino's comment cracked me up! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy black-eyed-susans got some kind of fungus this year...terrible! Sad..as I look forward to them each summer.
Hope you're staying cool up there, Roy!
