This theme was doing nothing for me, and I was planning to sit it out this week. But late last night something occurred to me; I grabbed the camera and decided to do my famous [sic] impressions. I promise I'll never do this to you again!

For years I have had an ambivalent attitude towards Christmas. It would
require a 3,000-word essay to clarify why I tend to feel a deep sense of
futility...

PS - Just so nobody panics when they don't "see" me over the weekend... I'll be out of town from early Friday morning to late Monday afternoon. We're throwing an 80th birthday party for my Mom, and I'll only have a dial-up connection where I'll be, so I'm not planning on being online for the duration. Don't worry, be happy!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you make me laugh!! I knew Nixon right away. You're the best. Remember Rich Little's "A Christmas Carol"?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the birthday festivities. Safe travels.

(I really like the "Bully!!" shot... though I have to admit, I first thought: " why is he doing Napoleon with his mouth open?") ha ha ha ... then I read the caption...
