Along the Rail Trail

I took a leisurely stroll along the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail today. At the height of Summer the rail trail is kind of boring, at least at the Shippensburg end; there are so many trees and so much foliage that scenery is blocked. But there are some clear spaces, and I got some shots there, plus two scenes amongst the greenery along the trail as well. Enjoy!

  1. Lovely! I hope you take that route again at the peak of color this fall!

  2. Excellent eye. I never see farms/barns like those down here. And I love the multi-level perspective of the second photo. RED! one can never have too much. The Sumacs are mostly turned here as it's been dry. The little yellow flowers are perfect propellers!
