The Day After

I was off today and planned to visit the Dykeman Spring Nature Park to take pictures of the park in 10 inches of snow. Unfortunately that nice, scenic fresh snow laid over the existing 5 or so inches of hard, crusty snow, and trying to walk in the park was a good way to break an ankle. I am not a happy man!

In any case, I got two decent pictures along the route to and from the grocery store, as well as more shots of the birds at my feeder station, so I'll entertain you with those. Enjoy!

    1. We have 2" - 5" coming tomorrow morning. Heh, heh! It doesn't bother me at all, but I have to listen to a constant stream of complaints at work.

  2. My area (southern Massachusetts) still hasn't cleaned up properly from the last storm, so I'm dreading the relatively small snowstorm we're expecting!

  3. I didn't realize Shippensburg had mountains. Very pretty - reminds me of Upstate New York. Love the avian close ups. I've never had a Downy Woodpecker at my feeders, but I got a pair of Hairy Woodpeckers this year for the first time. The suet cakes are disappearing fast.
