On the Way Home, Again

I cut through the duck ponds and the Dykeman Walking Trail again on the way home from work this afternoon.

Mama and babies cooling off on a hot afternoon.

A Little Wood Satyr butterfly.

The Day Lilies are up. Profusely!

Daisy Fleabane

Deptford Pink, with a wee visitor.

And up on Possum Hollow Rd. near home, Baby was up and posing by the nest; I suspect he/she will fledge (learn to fly) before the weekend is over.

  1. Oh Roy, these are so beautiful. The mother duck and ducklings are playful and fun. The young hawk, is it a Peregrine?, is beautiful and everything in between.

  2. You really have some wonderful shots of the baby hawk. And I really love the butterfly picture! Fun to see you on LinkedIn, too! :)

  3. I really like the lily and the daisy shots. They almost have a wide-angle feel with the emphasis on the first flower and the others spreading out and blurring away... the splashing coming off mama duck! You're so lucky to be able to watch the hawk growing up...beautiful!

  4. Wow, those are all amazing--dang. I especially like the ducks & the butterfly, but they're all very high quality.

  5. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world...

  6. Beautiful except for the ducks. I have them on my pool in winter, it's the local dating joint!

  7. .....Daisy Daisy,
    Give me your answer do!
    I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
    I can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet on the seat
Of a bicycle built for two !........
Love That Photo Roy!!!! Have A Fine Weekend Sir!:)

  8. Not much is more fun than splashing around.

  9. Hello once again, that I found your blog I think became blog budies lol!
