Old Pennsylvania

I've discovered that the farmers across the road are Amish.

I used the Exposure 2 plug-in on this using the daguerrotype setting. I thought that was only fitting considering the subject.

  1. I love photographs of farms. It will be interesting to see the same shot in a couple of months with full trees and crops!

  2. It's a beautiful state, Roy. Unappreciated, IMHO. I really hope you can get that camera down to Gettysburg.

  3. There is an Amish community here. I see some of them at the train station every now and then. Best. Beards. Ever.

    Great photo!

  4. Whatever process you used, it just suits it so well. It gives it a kind of solidity and the feeling that the buildings have grown out of the land almost as much as the trees have.

  5. This looks quite a bit like Ohio, Roy. I come from many generations of early American farmers. My DNA is tingling.

  7. Beautiful image. I did a bit of driving in Pennsylvania just about a year ago, & the farmland there is quite lovely.
