A few scenes from today's hike.

The Sail Newport sailing class came ashore at King Park for a picnic.
"Whinin' Boy, I don't deny my name". One of this year's Herring Gull hatchlings (the brown one to the right) literally whining at the adult to be fed. Which reminded me of this song:

I would love to live in one of those two homes by the water.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always and I definitely have dibs on that white house by the lake. I'd give a kidney to live there frankly.
ReplyDeleteThere's just something about water, isn't there? Whether it's the cove or the pier...it's just beautiful. I love the line of clouds just above the horizon in the first picture! And I always crack up at those young birds, sometimes bigger than their parents, and still needing care. ha.
ReplyDeleteThose first 2 shots in particular are so serene. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like the close up of the wall, too.
You live in such a beautiful place. I never tire of the waters and birds - and your very individual "eye" for the unusual-beautiful. The mossy terra-cotta wall being a prime example.
ReplyDeletebeautiful greens, the top 2 photos are lovely and calming
ReplyDeleteRoy, you have a real gift for shooting water. I've never seen anything like it.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! The entire concert (both sets) is on Youtube; the poster even numbered each video sequentially by set.
