Heh, heh! This particular puppy got a way better ride than just hanging out the car window. These shots were taken at Belmont Beach at the end of Marine Ave. on the Cliff Walk.

ReplyDeletewonderful picture
I thought Lily might be in for something like that but she's not keen on the taste of salty water! Bet it's still a bit chilly out there!
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh! Yup, that was one happy pup.
ReplyDeleteBaino, I was surprised when I went to look at water temperatures. Usually at this time of year it runs between 40º - 45º F (4º - 7º C), but looking at current temps we're running around 50º F (10º C). which we don't usually hit until late June or early July. It was a warmer than usual Winter and a very much warmer Spring this year, and that's made a significant difference. Still, it's cold enough for us humans need a wetsuit in those waters.
......those photos make me happy. That pup looks like he's digging the waves and having fun!!
ReplyDeleteThat hound does a better job of staying up on a board than I ever did!
ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful book of candid photos called Surfing San Onofre to Point Dume: 1936-1942. The pictures are of California surfers in action and hanging on the beach up to their induction into the service for WW2.
P.S. The Beach Boys: Never a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteK - Actually, that's not a surfboard, that's one of those sit-on-top kayaks. Look at the guy's feet in the bottom picture and you'll see he's sort of sitting down in a little.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who is smiling more, the dog or his owner!
