On the way to the grocery store this morning I passed through the Dykeman Spring Nature Park, and Butterflies seemed to be the subject of the day. All three of these beauties sat patiently while I jockeyed for position and adjusted exposure, aperture, etc. in pursuit of a good shot. The Appalachian Brown actually waited for me to change the batteries in my camera. I thanked them all for their patience. (And if you think I'm kidding about thanking them, or being metaphorical, you don't know me at all!)
