I have this weekend off, but today I'm kept indoors by a cold, raw, and rainy day. Cold I don't mind, but wet is not what I want to be on a December day. So among other things I'm doing in the apartment today, I went out on the porch and got a shot of the gazebo park across the street and then played with it in Photoshop. Here are the best results of the playing.

The original shot

The black & white version

An antiqued version, with film grain and sepia toning added

The split toned version, emulating split tone processing

The faded color photo effect, blending the split tone and the original color shot

And my old favorite, oil on canvas

It's amazing the things we can do with computers that used to take hours in the darkroom to accomplish. I like the split toned version.
ReplyDeleteI like all of them -but the oil on canvas grabs my attention most. You are so lucky to have such a pretty view right across the street!
