At the Feeders

I'm off this weekend and today is errands day, so there hasn't been a lot of time for photography. But I caught this male House Finch feeding at the sunflower seed feeder. I swear he knew I was there on the other side of the window and was deliberately mugging for the camera. I caught the following sequence to prove it. And then there was the Chipmunk foraging under the feeders. The darned Sparrows are sloppy pigs, tossing seed all over the place when they eat, so all the ground feeders have plenty of food as well!

  1. haha..Oh, I know what you mean! There are a few of my birds outside that I swear are my friends. They have personality, they look me in the eye, and they pose for the camera. :) Mr. Finch there is a beauty!

  2. Great shots - shows that little guy's loving the camera as well as the free food. Beautiful color and detail - and who doesn't love a chipmunk?

  3. Taxi services charge by zone too. They will pick you up and drop you off inside a different zone for a flat rate. That means if you are going more than just a few blocks away and are going on an actual long drive you can get it for a flat fee. That means that they can't charge you a bunch of extra money by going down side streets to make you take a longer time. You are set with your zone.
