It's Fair Week here in Shippensburg, and like all summer fairs in farming country, the Shippensburg Community Fair emphasizes four things - cows...
tractors...
rides...
and food provided by every church and volunteer organization in the area.
There are also garden produce and home goods, but those areas were still closed when I was there at lunchtime. So I'm going back after supper tonight so I can get shots in the Home Goods buildings and shots of the rides all lit up. So there'll be a Part 2 to this post. Stay tuned!

County fairs are always fun! Nice pix.
ReplyDeleteAww that could be our local agricultural show, looks exactly the same.
ReplyDeleteYou should submit some of your photos to the fair next year!
ReplyDeleteFun! Sounds just like our fairs, here. Ours is mid August. Those are some beautiful cows. The animals always look their very best. And fair food is always fun! Have a funnel pastry for me!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like part 2 is postponed until Saturday or so. Tonight's return expedition was canceled due to rain and a HVAC problem here at the house.
ReplyDeleteI almost feel as I am there Roy. Agricultural shows seem to be very alike, wherever they may be.
ReplyDeleteAlan is Right ,you have the knack of drawing us beyond the lens and into the Situation! All The Fun Of The Fair! Enjoy Your Weekend,Roy.
ReplyDeleteDid Blogger just eat my comment? I think so...

County fair--better than Paris. Hope part two comes along all right.
ReplyDeletegreat pics, but it seems like there aren't many folks attending, maybe you were visiting during a lull?
ReplyDeletethe heat did keep the usual masses away from the recent irish festival....but we braved the heat and attended and caught some great music!!
