It's Still Winter, But...

... there are signs of Spring emerging. I went on a walk through the Dykeman Springs wetlands this morning; the temps aren't getting out of the 30s (-1º - 4º C) today, but still there were signs. Like Daffodils shooting up above ground along the Walking Trail, and Mallards pairing up for the Spring mating. The planet is tilting back again.

  2. You can't keep a plant from emerging: not sticks or leaves . . . Spring springs eternal.

  3. You're right Roy. Yesterday in about 80 yards I noticed a pair of Great Tits, and a couple of Magpies, and a couple of nondescripts to far off to name, tweeting and frolicking in the rare sunshine. Even I've been feeling a little more joyous

    1. Thanks, Barb! My family gathered at a restaurant just across the street from me and had a semi-surprise birthday party; semi-surprise because I didn't expect all of them to be there (my sister even posted her birthday greeting on my FB timeline and apologized for not being able to come up to PA on THE DAY), but there we all were when my brother led me back to our table. It was fun!

  6. Thank god that it is Roy. I don't know, but it seems as if the winters are longer and the summers' less memorable as I get older. Spring is always a delight however.
