Becalmed

Newport Harbor scenes on a hot, humid, hazy, and flat calm morning. But Hurricane Earl is coming, and this will be a totally different scene on Friday.

  2. Steph, my first day of work was originally set for Sept. 3; it's been pushed back to Sept. 13, so I still have 2 weeks to go.

  3. These are beautiful, Roy. Love the reflections in the water. I hope Earl passes by and leaves you in safety.

  5. Button down the hatches! I thought of you Roy, Silver Fox, Subby and all my other east coast blog friends! Hope Earl turns away and surprises us. :) Be safe!

  6. Thanks everybody!

Betty & Betsy - I want Earl to at least come close enough to get the surfers out on the water; there's been nothing all year so far, and I need some new surfer shots!

  9. Lovely photos. That last shot of Newport yacht harbour reminded me of the opening credits of "Jazz on a Summers' Day" which, I guess, were shot there.
